Rhodes Rule No. 3: Family Comes First

Those of us who grew up in the Rhodes house learned from the best—our dad, Tom. And while some lessons were learned the hard way, the “rules” we learned then still guide our entire team now. In fact, we rely on them every day—in business and in life; good times and bad. So much so, that we decided to share them in this series in the hopes they might resonate with you and your family, too.

Family Comes First

By blood or by choice, family makes you who you are. And at the end of the day, no one will be more loyal, steadfast and dedicated to you. And this is a two-way street — the more you give, the more you’ll get.

Pay attention to your loved ones’ needs, and work to meet them. Treat their challenges as your own. When a problem arises, be the first with a solution. Be willing to drop everything and help during a crisis. Go to bat for them when it counts.

Of course, family should include more than blood relatives. For us, it includes friends and our clients. Their crises are ours. And if someone comes for them, they have to come through us first.

Do these things, and you’ll find yourself repaid in droves. No one will be more helpful, understanding, and loving when it counts.

You need more than an agent — you need a family of agents. Give ours a call.
